2010 Mazda3

If you’re among those who have purchased the newly-launched 2010 Mazda3 then better hurry and get it back to your dealer as soon as possible. A total of 25,400 2010 Mazda3 units have been recalled by the manufacturer due to a defective wiring harness design that can lead to a short circuit in the car’s system.

Apparently there is an insufficient clearance between the starter motor housing and the engine wiring harness which can result to the vibration of the wiring harness. A short circuit caused by the rubbing of the wiring harness against the starter motor can result to the stalling of the vehicle and you may not be able to restart it again.

The 2010 Mazda3 that will be returned to the manufacturer will be repaired and Mazda has assured clients that it will add a protector clip to separate the wiring harness from the starter motor housing thus avoiding the rub and the stalling of the auto.

Mazda will start the recall of the 2010 Mazda3 on May 6 and if you’re returning your vehicle then better call the North American operations of Mazda at 1-800-222-5500.
